About me
A native of Jackson, Mississippi, Michele has worked as a Jewish professional throughout her career. She served as Assistant Camp Director at URJ Jacobs Camp for two years. From there, Michele moved to Los Angeles to serve as the Associate Director of Wilshire Boulevard Temple Camps. From there, Michele enjoyed several positions within the Los Angeles JCC’s satellite system working with families, teens, and day camps, and eventually became the site director of two facilities. Moving east, Michele served as executive director of the JCC of Greater Albuquerque, New Mexico, for four years before relocating and returning “home” to Jackson in 2007 to assume the position of Chief Operating Officer of the ISJL. Michele was named CEO of the ISJL in February 2018. Michele and her husband Ken have three children: Alana, Jacob (newlywed to Molly) and Eric.
